Since 1996, we have led the effort to help the economically and socially challenged residents of the Coachella Valley. We have been at the forefront of nearly every major service to the poor.

Our Mission
The Well in the Desert is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides nutritious hot meals 5 days a week.
We offer emergency food assistance, weekly supplemental food distribution and a wide array of services through advocacy to those affected by poverty, including the working poor, the homeless, seniors, veterans, the handicapped and others in the western end of the Coachella Valley.
We fuel programs for poverty prevention, direct services for poverty intervention, and execute an organized effort to advocate for the poor.

Over 225 plus hot nutritious meals served daily, 6 days a week.

Food distribution Saturday 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m
(*ID and proof of residence required to recieve assistance.).A family-friendly environment where all can feel welcome, cared about, and respected.
Home deliveries to seniors who are homebound or frail.
Van transportation to hot lunch sites.
Emergency food boxes.
Saturday food distribution of healthy foods to working families, seniors, veterans, the disabled, families with children.
Assistance with food stamps, MISP, ID and more.
