The Well in the Desert is a 501c3 charitable organization that provides hot meals, food baskets, and a wide array of social services to those in need in the western end of the Coachella Valley.

The Well in the Desert is a 501c3 charitable organization that provides hot meals, food baskets, and a wide array of social services to those in need in the western end of the Coachella Valley. The organization was founded in 1986 to meet the needs of the working poor, the homeless, homebound seniors, and children who were facing the disease of hunger. We have one full-time employee who is both our Executive Director and Social Services Director. We are governed by a Board of Directors, all of whom are volunteers.

Our Mission is to identify and reach out to the poor and homeless in the Western end of the Coachella Valley.
