Our Staff
Marisa (Birdie) Diggs Cindi Tipple

Marisa (Birdie) Diggs and Cindi Tipple are our two Office Managers. They answer our phones. They handle our client phone service, mail service, toiletries, initial intake, and assist our Client Services Manager with referrals to other agencies and anything else she needs assistance with. They are there for our clients and give a tremendous amount of support to the Board of Directors. Both Marissa and Cindi were once clients, and homeless, but after training and on-the-job learning have become invaluable staff at the Well in the Desert.
Paula Joyce Paula Joyce

Paula is our Operations Manager and handles a myriad of responsibilities. She has trained other staff, deals with the public, and oversees our food pick-ups, handles special events, taking responsibility for the first group home, and is really a true "jill of all trades".
David Fisher

David Fisher is our culinary chef. Known as Chef "Daddy D" David makes incredible meals for us on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. David prepares our food in the kitchen of St Paul in the Desert. He is a graduate of a culinary school, prepares delicious entries' with fresh vegetable aand salads. David is now preparing to present his gourmet soups at Village Fest every Thursday night, and together with staff will have a Well in the Desert presence there. People will be able to buy his soups, which will benefit the Well, and can learn firsthand all about the Well.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays Dr. McKinny and assistant Chris Strickling prepare the meals. Dr. McKinny founded the Well twelve years ago and now enjoys his time as a volunteer.
