| THE WELL IN THE DESERT provides daily nutritious hot meals, emergency food assistance, weekly supplemental food distribution, and access to community services to those affected by poverty, including the working poor, the homeless, seniors, the handicapped and others in need throughout the west end of the Coachella Valley for more than 15 years. The President, Arlene Rosenthal and her Board of Directors work long hours and tirelessly to keep The Coachella Valley's People in Need cared for. They are volunteers and work for free. The Well's mission fuels programs for poverty prevention, direct services for poverty intervention, and organized efforts to advocate for the poor. | >

Unit 10 in Palm Springs. Office Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Please call (760) 327-8577 for the schedule of our daily hot food program. You may download our Dine n' Dash hot meal program here. Directions from Palm Canyon Blvd or Highway 111: Go east on Alejo Road. Turn left on Commercial Road (this is the second street after Farrell). We are in the first building on the left. There is ample off street parking available. Public transportation: Sunline Bus Route 14. |

1st Annual DINE WELL IN THE DESERT For one week at the beginning of March, participating restaurants throughout the Coachella Valley will donate a percentage of every net sale they make to support Well in the Desert's food programs. So, do your part and DINE WELL! Check out DineWellInTheDesert.com for the list of Participating Restaurants, and be sure to patronize them from Thursday, March 1, through Wednesday, March 7, 2012. And don't forget to make your reservations for First Course, DINE WELL IN THE DESERT'S kick-off event, taking place Thursday, March 1, 2012. Well staff make it happen with their set-up and advanced work. OperaArts follows through with an exciting program of operatic arias, operetta and classic musical theater pieces, along with an exciting group of artists who present interactive arts, all curated by desert artist and Board member Kimberly Nichols.
